Design the Vote

These hand-screenprinted posters were made by graphic design and clothing design majors in "Color and Form in Surface Design," a class taught in Mcneal Hall in the College of Design's Graphic Design program. In screenprinting the designer creates digital and non-digital imagery, and then creates a "positive" which is exposed onto a coated screen using a strong light. This creates a stencil, and the designer then "squeegees" ink through this stencil onto the sheets of paper (screenprinting can also be used to print on fabrics and other surfaces). The assignment was to create a poster that encourages people to vote.
