Sources for Native-American Genealogy
Before you begin
your genealogical research, read "Basic Genealogical Research Methods
and their Application to Native Americans" in Paula K. Byers' Native
American Genealogical Sourcebook, pp. 29-64. This chapter provides
an excellent introduction to basic genealogical research and the specialized
sources and forms for Native American research.
