Current Issues of journals and magazines

The current issues section contains the recent copies of the journals and magazines received at Wilson Library. Consisting of over 5,500 current subscriptions, the current issues are filed alphabetically, all the way from Aachener Kunstblatter to Zyzzyva. All materials which appear as "Current Issues" in the holdings records for Wilson Periodicals in the MNCAT catalog are shelved in this area. These materials may not be checked out so as to be available for use at all times. For assistance with the current issues, go the the Periodicals Information Desk located alongside the Current Issues section.

 

Bound Issues of Journals and Magazines

The bound issues section consists of consolidated back issues for most of Wilson Library's scholarly journals and also for many of the magazines. All materials found in MNCAT holdings "library has:" for Wilson Periodicals are shelved in this section. The bound volumes may be checked out for one day, and can often include one or more years of the periodical in one consolidated volume. To check out bound journals, go to ervice Desk.

Newspapers

    

Wilson Library's Newspaper Collection is housed in its own room within the Wilson Periodical Room. The collection is composed of approximately 120 current subscriptions, including major papers from the US, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The collection also contains a few English-language papers from Asia. All other Asian papers are held in the East Asian Library or Ames Library of South Asia. The Newspaper Collection also contains microfilmed back issues of many newspapers from Europe and the United States.

Machines to scan, print and email from microfilm are located in the Newspaper Collection room.
